When I was growing up there was a song that went “signs, signs, everywhere a sign. Blockin' out the scenery, breakin' my mind". Well it seems that today there are bible schools, bible schools, everywhere a bible school, blocking the move of the spirit, and confusing our minds.
At Gilbert Bible School we are motivated by a dream, not just any dream, a dream that God gave me in 2001 that brought a great change to my life. I dreamt that I was in a large city made up with different cultures and as I walked through the city there were people both men and women preaching to crowds of people some small others larger. As I listened to them I could see and hear that they were preaching and teaching out of their experiences, many of them had little or no formal education. I made the statement to myself in the dream that this was a problem going some place to happen. Then a loud voice said to me who will teach them will you? It was at that point I new that The Holy Spirit was calling me back into full time ministry, and within a year had given a complete bible school to our ministry to help complete this task (Gilbert Bible School).
As a young man I wanted to learn how to find God’s will for my life and also how to archive it. However the first lesson I learnt, was what Paul meant when he said in 1 Cor. 4:15 for though you might have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet you do not have many fathers; if you are looking for an opinion you will find one on every pew of the church and behind every pulpit. However it may not be the right opinion for you. The bible says that there is a way that seems right to man but at the end it leads to death. I personally must have found the ten thousand instructors before I found the one father that truly helped me.
It has become my personal vision to help people discover where they fit in ministry. At Gilbert we will help you find that God given destiny that has been awaiting you from the time you were conceived in your mother’s womb. We will help you achieve this through Biblical studies, prayer, fasting, and experienced counsel
Even though we are an on line bible school every student will receive a time of counsel with myself either on line or personally. Each student will be assigned to a class of students with a maximum of twelve students per class. Each class will have an overseer that is currently in fulltime ministry or retired from full time ministry. The overseer will help each student develop a personalized third and Curriculum D study course centered on their particular ministry calling. The first and Curriculum B will be foundational and all students will take the same Courses. All students will be given the opportunity to participate in ministry in a local church, foreign missions, tent revival meetings, or church planting.
In short, the purpose of Gilbert Bible School is to provide a biblical education, both academic and practical, based upon the lives of the first century apostles and prophets for those that seek to serve Jesus Christ as His ministers, missionaries, and Christian workers of the twenty first century. It is our goal to see that all graduates will be equipped to properly interpret and expound the new covenant they represent. And that they will be able to exercise the spiritual gifts given by The Holy Spirit so that the light of Jesus Christ will burn brighter in the twenty first century than it has ever burnt before.
